Does the black forest cake contain alcohol?

No. Traditional German black forest is soaked in kirsch (cherry liqueur) — ours is 100% halal, so we build the cherry depth with an in-house spiced cherry compote instead. All the flavour, none of the alcohol.

What makes it different from a traditional black forest?

Three upgrades: a crunchy streusel base (flour, brown sugar, bitter chocolate, salt) instead of a plain sponge bottom, silky vanilla mascarpone mousse in place of the usual whipped cream, and our spiced cherry compote for a warmer, deeper cherry note. The chocolate shavings on top stay exactly where tradition put them.

How much does it cost, and how many people does it serve?

RM140 for the 7-inch (about 1kg, serves 6–10) and RM180 for the 9-inch (about 2kg, 3.5 inches tall, serves 12–16) — handmade to order.
